Reef Divers- https://reefdivers.io/
Design: This blog is centered around education (yay!) on coral reef preservation and identification. They boast a wide variety of resources so you can get educated on what’s going on under the waves. You might even call it…current events. The Reef Divers blog focuses on how to make your dives more fulfilling and eco-friendly. They bring you in with pathos about coral reefs and love for diving, and then sneak in logos with identification courses and information on how to get more involved in rescuing these important ecosystems.
Audience: Their target audience seems to be for a wider range of diver certifications, unlike the Dive Photo Guide where they seem to target an audience that can already dive. Reef Divers offers links to basic Open Water certifications, and more. Rather than enhancing the hobby of diving, they are trying to get more people into the hobby. This blog hit home for me, with the writer’s education based approach to SCUBA diving and reef awareness. They are looking to build a large following by appealing to any kind of person that enjoys the ocean by offering links from everything to basic open water certifications to coral reef restoration certification. I would recommend this blog to anyone interested in ocean conservation and cultivating more dive experience.
